Colloidal dispersions are suspensions of micron-sized solidparticles in a solvent like water or oil. Self-assembly is awidely used approach to create ordered structures of colloidalparticles by engineering the inter-colloid potential. This articleillustrates how entropy drives disorder to order transitionsin a colloidal assembly.
