• Optical solitons and other solutions to the conformable space–time fractional complex Ginzburg–Landau equation under Kerr law nonlinearity

This study reveals the dark, bright, combined dark–bright, singular, combined singular optical solitons and singular periodic solutions to the conformable space–time fractional complex Ginzburg–Landau equation. We reach such solutions via the powerful extended sinh-Gordon equation expansion method (ShGEEM). Constraint conditions that guarantee the existence of valid solitary wave solutions are given. Under suitable choice of the parameter values, interesting three-dimensional graphs of some of the obtained solutions are plotted.

• Solitons in conformable time-fractional Wu–Zhang system arising in coastal design

The modified exp($−\Omega(\zeta)$)-expansion function method is applied to the Wu–Zhang system with conformable time-fractional derivative to construct new analytical solutions. We have obtained some soliton-type solutions such as dark, singular and combined soliton solutions. We have seen that all solutions have provided the mentioned equation system. For the suitable value of the solutions, the 2D–3D and contour surfaces have been plotted.

• An efficient technique for a fractional-order system of equations describing the unsteady flow of a polytropic gas

In the present investigation, the $q$-homotopy analysis transform method ($q$-HATM) is applied to find approximated analytical solution for the system of fractional differential equations describing the unsteady flow of a polytropic gas. Numerical simulation has been conducted to prove that the proposed technique is reliable and accurate, and the outcomes are revealed using plots and tables. The comparison between the obtained solutions andthe exact solutions shows that the proposed method is efficient and effective in solving nonlinear complex problems. Moreover, the proposed algorithm controls and manipulates the obtained series solution in a huge acceptable region in an extreme manner and it provides us a simple procedure to control and adjust the convergence region of the series solution.

• Optical soliton solutions to the Fokas–Lenells equation via sine-Gordon expansion method and $(m + (G'/G))$-expansion method

The purpose of this study is to find some novel soliton solutions of Fokas–Lenells (FL) equation where the perturbation terms are taken into account with nonlinearity. The sine-Gordon expansion method (SGEM) and the $(m + (G'/G))$-expansion method are used in this context. The dark, bright, dark–bright and singular optical soliton solutions are successfully obtained. Moreover, the constraint conditions for guaranteeing the existence of solutions are also given.
