The fraction of simultaneous K plus L shell ionized atoms is estimated in Fe, Co and Cu elements using carbon ions at different projectile energies. The present results indicate that the fraction of simultaneous K plus L shell ionization probability decreases with increase in projectile energy as well as with increase in the atomic number of the targets atoms.

The KαL1/KαL0 intensity ratio of fluorine is measured in five fluorine compounds with a crystal spectrometer. An anomalous reduction of this intensity ratio was observed in KF and SrF2, which is attributed to resonance electron transfer from the metal ion to the spectator vacancy in the fluorine ion. KαL2/KαL0 intensity ratio of fluorine is also measured. The measured relative intensities are compared with the theoretical estimates of Aberg.

K$_{\alpha}$ X-ray satellite spectra of Ti, V, Cr and Mn induced by photons
M V R Murti S S Raju B Seetharami Reddy V Koteswara Rao L S Mombaswala T Seshi Reddy S Lakshminarayana K Premachand
K X-ray emission spectra of Ti, V, Cr and Mn generated by photon excitation have been studied with a crystal spectrometer. The measured energy shifts of K$_{\alpha}$ satellite relative to the diagram line are compared with values obtained by electron excitation and with different theoretical estimates. The present experimental values of K$_{\alpha}$L1/K$_{\alpha}$L0 relative intensities are compared with values obtained by electron excitation.
