Studying solar filaments can help in understanding the distribution of large-scale field in the solar atmosphere and provide useful insights into the nature of the solar magnetic field. Recently, the National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has collected huge volumes of data about solarfilaments from several international observing stations for nearly 100 years. Designing a database, as well as establishing a networked tool for making the best of it, are necessary to provide efficient and convenient accessto the data for researchers. In this study, we introduce a solar filament database, involving digital image data of nearly 45 terabytes, based on MySQL and a data management platform named

Continuous Article Publishing mode
Since January 2016, the Journal of Astrophysics and Astronomy has moved to Continuous Article Publishing (CAP) mode. This means that each accepted article is being published immediately online with DOI and article citation ID with starting page number 1. Articles are also visible in Web of Science immediately. All these have helped shorten the publication time and have improved the visibility of the articles.
