Phytosynthesis plays a crucial role for synthesizing nickel oxide nanoparticles (NiO NPs) in a harmless, nontoxic and cost-effective way using
Zephyranthes rosea (Z. rosea) flower extract as reducing agent. The cyclic voltammetry(CV) study shows the excelled enhanced specific capacitance of 548.25 F g$^{–1}$ at 10 mV s$^{–1}$. Trasatti and Dunn’s methods demonstrates the charge storage mechanisms with total, outer and inner capacitances of 2207.50, 48.08 and 2159.41 F g$^{–1}$, respectively. Galvanostatic charge–discharge profile makes evident of prolonged discharge time by providing the high specific capacitance of 1095.75 F g$^{–1}$ at 0.5 A g$^{–1}$. The fabricated electrode delivers outstanding capacitance retention of 96.1% for 2000 cycles.
