With the object of studying the antibacterial effect of sulphanilamide derivatives with cyclic substituents at the sulphonamide radical, typical N¹-sulphanilamido derivatives of diphenylether, phenanthrene, chrysene, dibenzofuran, carbazole, coumarin, acridine, tetrahydroquinoline and phenanthridine have been synthesised and are reported. Aminosulphonamide derivatives of naphthalene and diphenyl are also described.
