MIST (MIcrostrusture STatistics): a open source library in python for the analysis of anisotropic microstructures

In this paper, we describe a python based open source library for microstructural analysis called MIST (MIcrostructure STatistics). This library can generate the statistical correlations as well as carry out feature analysis. Using microstructures generated from phase field models and experiments, we show how MIST can be used to analyse and understand microstructures with specific reference to anisotropy.
