    • Abstract

This article outlines an improvised procedure that helps achieve precise calibration of thermocouples. The rationale behind this procedure is to utilize two fixed reference temperatures, i.e., the triple point of water and hydrate transition temperature of sodium sulphate, to calibrate a standard platinum resistance thermometer (SPRT) before using this SPRT to calibrate any thermocouple.
