    • Abstract


      Infrared absorption spectrum of Cr(CN)63− doped in KCl crystals show that the site symmetry of the ion is predominantlyC8 corresponding to one cation vacancy in the nearest neighbour and the other in the next nearest neighbour position with respect to Cr3+ ion. X-irradiation produces complexes of the type Cr(CN)64− and Cr (CN)65−.
