One-pot three-component condensation for the synthesis of 2,4,6-triarylpyridines and evaluation of their antimicrobial activity

A new series of 2,4,6-triarylpyridines are synthesised through one-pot three-component condensation of triazole pyrazolyl aldehydes and acetophenones with ammonium acetate in moderate to good yields. The structures of the synthesised compounds are confirmed by spectral methods viz. IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectral analysis. All these scaffolds are evaluated for their in vitro antimicrobial activity and found to exhibit promising antimicrobial potency.
