    • Abstract

       

      (±)-E-linalool-1-oic acid, (±)-E-9-hydroxylinalool and (±)-7-hydroxyterpineol1,2 and3, respectively, have been synthesised by allylic oxidation of olefins by selenium dioxide catalysed by pyridine/t-butyl hydroperoxide in high yields.
