    • Abstract

       

      Hydrogenation reactions of olefinic hydrocarbons using ruthenium-incorporated pillared montmorillonite as catalysts are reported. Depending on the steric hindrance, Ru/pillared montmorillonite selectively reduces carbon-carbon double bonds using hydrogen under pressure.
