    • Abstract

Equimolar reactions of Bu2SnO and Ph2SnO with azomethines derived by the condensation of salicyladehyde with some well known sulphadrugsviz. sulphathiazole, sulphaphenazole, sulphadiazine, sulphaguanidine and 2-(p-aminobenzene sulphonamido)-4,5-dimethyl oxazole yield a new series of organotin(IV) complexes. The infrared and proton magnetic resonance spectral studies indicate coordination of phenolic oxygen and azomethine and secondary amino nitrogens providing a five coordinated environment at the tin atom.
