    • Abstract


      O,O-Diethylphosphonyldithiocarbamato complexes of oxovanadium(IV), oxoniobium(V), oxomolybdenum(V), oxotungsten(V, VI) and oxouranium(VI), formulated as VO(DPD)2, NbO(DPD)3, Mo2O3(DPD)4, W2O3(DPD)4, WO2(DPD)2 and UO2(DPD)2 [DPD=(EtO)2P(:O)NHCS2] have been prepared. These have been characterised on the basis of elemental analyses, electrical conductance, magnetic susceptibility and spectral studies. IR spectral data indicate bidentate nature of the ligand. These complexes are fairly stable in inert atmosphere but decompose on standing in air.
