    • Abstract

The aromatic carboxylic acids have been used as extractants for microgram amounts of vanadium in the presence of N-hydroxy-N-p-chlorophenyl-N′-(2-methyl-5-chloro) phenyl-p-toluamidine hydrochloride (HCPMCPTH). The validity of the method has been tested by accurately analysing the vanadium content of the standard steel samples.
