Women Scientists Fellowship Scheme (WOS - B)

The Fellowship Scheme for Women Scientists for societal programmes is initiative of the Department of Science & Technology. This scheme is addressed to women scientists and technologists who have “break in their careers” due to social responsibilities but have desire to return to mainstream science and work as bench-level scientists. Women scientists desiring to apply for this scheme are required to develop their own research project/proposals demonstrating science and technological applications for societal benefits.

Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship

The University Grants Commission provides an incentive for parents to observe small family norm for the purpose of supporting higher education through the scholarships to such girls for the academic year 2009-2011.

The scholarship of any single girl child, being the only child of her parents are eligible under the scheme "Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Schemes" for single girl child under the initiative of MHRD.

      We are very sorry to announce the untimely demise of Prof. Charusita Chakravarty, one of the stars of our community of women scientists, at a young age of 52, after a valiant battle with cancer, today on 29th March 2016 in Delhi. May her memory inspire many a young women in the coming years!
