Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme (WOS - C)
'Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme
(WOS-C)' is a scheme of Government of India for women scientists being
operated by the Department of Science & Technology (DST). The
scheme aims to train women having qualifications in science/engineering
/medicine or allied areas in the area of intellectual property rights
(IPR) and their management for a period of one year. The scheme is
being coordinated and implemented by Patent Facilitating Centre (PFC)
of Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC)
on behalf of DST. More details are given here.

Faculty for the Future Fellowships
Faculty for the
Future Fellowships are awarded to women from developing and emerging
economies who are preparing for PhD or postdoctoral study in the
physical sciences, engineering, or related disciplines, to pursue
advanced graduate study at top universities in their disciplines
abroad. Applications for the Fellowships are open on October 5, 2009
and close on November 30, 2009. Awards will be announced on February

who have worked at the grass root level through womens
development in S&T.

Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship
The
University Grants Commission provides an incentive for parents to
observe small family norm for the purpose of supporting higher
education through the scholarships to such girls for the academic year
2007-2007.
The
scholarship
of any single girl child, being the only child of her
parents are eligible under the scheme "Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi
Schemes" for single girl child under the initiative of MHRD. Full

IUPAP/UNESCO Travel Grants
The Working Group on Women in Physics of
IUPAP, has developed a programme to award grants to women from
developing and eastern European countries to attend regional
conferences and schools. This grants is announced every year. Details here.

RESTART Programme by GE

Electric's (GE) John F
Welch Technology Centre (JFWTC), Bangalore has launched a programme
called RESTART which exclusively on hiring women scientists and
engineers who have taken a career break and now want to get back to
work. The programme offers various facilities and opportunities to
women scientists and engineers to restart their career and work in
their centre.
