This is an article in the magazine The Economist about the rise and growth of women in workforce in the rich countries like United States and others.

An article on 'Lilavati's Daughters: The Women Scientists of India' has appeared in Loksatta for the essay on Women in Science on the occasion of National Science Day.

The Women in Science Panel of the Indian Academy of Sciences conducted a seminar at St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad on 13th September, 2008 as part of the activities of one of their initiatives "Women in Science: A Career in Science". The motive of the seminar was to inspire young women to take up careers in science.
